I am a Canadian-Lebanese artist and museum practitioner based in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi. I paint, illustrate, and write as ways of engaging with creation; each work becomes a space where meaning, reflection, and beauty can gently unfold.

For over twenty years, I have worked on numerous projects across museums and cultural institutions, including the Aga Khan Museum, the New-York Historical Society, the Neustadt Collection, Qatar Museums Authority, and Opera Atelier. I am currently the Manager of Visitor Service Training and Excellence at the Zayed National Museum, a role I genuinely enjoy. I work alongside an exceptional team in an inspiring environment, where we are building a strong and meaningful foundation for an extraordinary museum.

Alongside this work, I continue to nurture an active artistic practice in painting, illustration, and writing. This is an essential part of how I connect with the world. I was part of the group exhibition Experiential Translation, with works presented in Ledbury and London, England; Łódź, Poland; and Venice, Italy. I am currently developing a new body of work titled Breaking Bread. Not to be mistaken for my favourite show, Breaking Bad.

I hold a PhD in Hispanic Studies, Digital Humanities, from Western University, where I developed a new methodology for the digital activation of museum collections. My research centred on artefacts from the al-Andalus period at the Aga Khan Museum. The biggest perk of a Phd is the cool "Dr. Z" though I don't embrace it much. I must mention something very dear to my heart: I also hold a Master’s degree in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto, focusing on interfaith and cultural relations in al-Andalus period (Spain), and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University in Spanish Language, Culture, and Literature. I breathe nature, museums, art, and culture. Without them, there is no such a thing as life.
